Inviting you to the Live Local Network

Oooh, an invitation! Yes, I am launching the Live Local Network, a new project powered by Curated CT. It is a directory of Connecticut-based small, local businesses and organizations designed to create awareness and promote our community through a dedicated email newsletter and digital media.

The general, local-loving community can subscribe to the Live Local newsletter and vendors can join our beta program beginning today. As with any network, its value is in the number of people on it—and we’re just getting started. I am inviting you to help us get this off the ground because if you are here reading this then I suspect you are already a part of our movement to support and patron local business.

I look forward to growing this project in a self-sustaining way. Ultimately it will be a collective effort, maintained by Curated CT and funded along with those participating small businesses. As a show of faith, I want to offer the first 100 business owners, makers, growers, and artisans their first-year of membership free—and subsequent signups at a steep discount while the promo codes last. This will give them an opportunity to try it out, while we launch and promote the initiative. Too many sites and directories in the past have come and gone and what seems to be common isn’t a lack of passion, but adequate resources to keep it current and vibrant.

Whether you are a local-loving small-business-supporting member of our community (don’t forget to signup for our Live Local newsletter) or a vendor looking for another way to share your products and services, I hope you’ll give it a try. And I encourage you to share this opportunity with your small business friends and community—we’re better together after all.

Please hit me up with any questions.
