As a career-driven, community supporting, design-loving, baking enthusiast, I believe everyone is a little bit disheveled and a little bit diva. Disheveled Diva was born as a way to champion creative expression, imperfections and all.
After years of baking and entertaining for friends and family, in 2018, I began pairing my passion in the kitchen with my passion in the community. Leveraging the power of social media and word of mouth, I began fundraising for nonprofits by gifting a 'thank you' treat for qualifying donations to select nonprofits.
After raising thousands of dollars for community organizations, and in the midst of a global pandemic, in 2020, I officially launched Disheveled Diva as a Cottage Food Operation based out of my home in Connecticut. Over the next year, the business grew; I challenged my cake design skills, refined my recipes, launched new treats, expanded my community partnerships, and I was having so much fun!
In 2022, Disheveled Diva expanded to include a Commercial license and is operating out of Berkins on Main inside the Wadsworth Atheneum located in downtown Hartford, Connecticut.
Through both businesses, Disheveled Diva designs, bakes, and curates bespoke treats using high-quality, local (when possible) ingredients. Core items include: Cheesecake Jars, Signature Buttercream, Rainbow Challah, and bespoke treats bars for large scale private events.
Disheveled Diva's treats serve anywhere from one to many and events small to large.
Disheveled Diva's deliciously imperfect creations bring smiles to faces, "wow" eyes and bellies, and bring a bit of sweetness to our community. A portion of every sale continues to be donated to nonprofit organizations: bespoke treats with local impact.
